A meeting with a client to write a will sparked a red-hot idea
His conversation on how the document would be stored in a fire-proof building ignited his imagination to come up with a new way of protecting precious papers and cherished, irreplaceable personal items.
A fire-resistant wallet for people to store their most important documents safely anywhere in their own homes.
The lightweight three-layered fire-resistant document folders have aluminised polyester skins to reflect heat and repel water whilst the flame-retardant backed seal locks out the flames.
They are strengthened with more than 900 Kevlar-coated stainless-steel stitches and are fire resistant up to 400 degrees C
Mr Finch, whose existing business writing wills and inheritance tax planning, said: "I was explaining to a client how a will should be stored in a fireproof environment and that we could offer a service to keep his documents in files in a fire-proof building, but he got slightly the wrong end of the stick and asked me when he was going to receive his fire-proof file.
"After I had explained the misunderstanding, the idea struck me of developing a fire-resistant wallet for important documents that people could actually keep in their own homes if they preferred not to have them put into storage.
